Radiant Aspirations for Master’s Remembrance Day

The learners in my bilingual Lamrim class are full of zest and creativity on Monday’s night. Original plan of 30-45mins of our Master’s Remembrance Day (MRD) hands-print exercise took more than an hour to complete! ????

Luckily it was accomplished with a lot of fun and meaningful aspirations inscribed on the combined class banner. As they have not covered the path of persons of great capacity, I helped them to add-on my little ‘foot-prints’ inscribed with “菩提心” and “空正见“, ‘thought‘ of renunciation, a ‘radiant‘ sun and a ‘warm‘ heart representing “Spirit of Enlightenment“. ????

I believed our Shifu and Teacher will be very pleased to know that we are happily learning Lamrim and accumulating merits on this path guided by them, filled with immense gratitude to our Teachers and the 3 Jewels. What better ways to amass merits than to do whatever that pleases our teacher – 认真学广论、欢喜学广论、坚持学广论!????????????

Furthermore, by respecting and serving your teachers you exhaust karma whose effects you would otherwise experience in the miserable realms. Your action of serving the teacher expends these miserable effects and replaces them with only slight harm to your body and mind in this lifetime, either in actuality or in dreams.
In addition, the benefits of respecting and serving your teachers are tremendous, such as a collection of virtue which surpasses even the roots of virtue that you derive from making offerings to limitless buddhas, and so forth.
