There was once when I really don’t have anything to offer, when it was my turn, I ran up to the Master with folded my palms and said: “Other than my devout aspiration to seek the Teaching, I don’t have any item to offer now. However, I would like to request from the Master, the teaching on the nature of emptiness, that eliminates birth, old age, sickness and death. Is it possible with such an offering?” The Master said, “Splendid! This is the best offering that I have received today.”

有一次我实在没什么可以供养，轮到我的时候，就跑到上师面前合掌说：「我除了虔诚求法的心，没有什么可以供养的了，可是我想要跟上师求得解除生老病死的空性的法，这样的供养可不可以？」上师说：「太好了！这是我今天收到最好的供养。」
